Bob Patten, N4BPThe Executive and Managers of the QRP Amateur Radio Club International are proud to announce that the winner of the First Annual QRP-ARCI Contest Championship is Bob Patten, N4BP.

The first QRP-ARCI Contest Championship ran during the 2007 Contest Season.  In this contest the entries from nine of the individual contests sponsored by QRP-ARCI were tallied to give a total standing for all of 2007.  To be eligible, an operator needed to enter at least three eligible contests, and their top five finishes would be considered for their QCC Score.

Our QRP-ARCI Contest Champion Bob Patten, N4BP scored a total of 218 QCC points out of a maximum possible score of 220!  As dominating a performance as this seems, excellent operating from John L. Sielke – W2AGN and Tim Colbert – K3HX ensured that this competition came right down to the final contest of the year.  W2AGN amassed 213 QCC points and K3HX 193 QCC points on the year.  Great work guys, lets hope that the 2008 running is just as exciting.
