The objective of the QRP ARCI Operating Awards Program is to demonstrate that "power is no substitute for skill". It encourages full enjoyment of Ham Radio while running the minimum power necessary to complete a QSO and thereby reducing QRM on our crowded bands.
QRP is defined by the club as 5 watts output CW and 10 watts PEP output SSB.
Awards are available to any amateur operator, please 'Read more' for rules and application form.

All awards offered by the QRPARCI are available to any licensed amateur radio operator worldwide. Awards are also available to SWL listeners on a heard basis.

The fee for all awards or endorsement certificates for W/K amateurs is $4.00 US or for non – W/K $5.00 or 10 IRCs. If IRCs are used they must be the current IRCs in the blue color (4x6 inch) format and must have the proper Post Office stamp on it. Older yellow IRCs are not valid for the awards. Make checks or money orders payable to Jeff Embry, Cash is acceptable (US Dollars only) but are sent at your own risk. For the KMPW award if you would like a certificate sent to the amateur at the other end of your qualifying QSO, please enclose an additional $4.00 (W/K) $5 or 10 IRCs (non-W/K).

Confirmations. For all County Hunter, Gridsquare, KMPW, WAS, DXCC, WAC, (including all 5 Band awards) Awards, confirmation must be obtained to claim credit. Regular QSL Cards, Mobile Reply Cards and EQSL cards are accepted. Email conformations are not acceptable. LOTW confirmations will be accepted as soon as our Awards Program is certified by the ARRL. It is unknown at this time when LOTW will be accepted. In order to use EQSL cards for credit, you and the station that sent you the card must both be authenticated users of the EQSL system. Details on getting authenticated can be found on the EQSL website at www.eqsl.cc
For the Worked All ARCI Award, QSL confirmation is not required. A copy of the GCR form attesting that 2 amateurs have examined your log for the required info is all that is needed. A list of all stations and their membership numbers is also required. Please compile your list in member number order. Old QRP-25 contacts are valid for Worked All ARCI credit.
GCR/Application. A new form has just been issued. It is requested that you use this form. Please DO NOT send any original QSL cards with your application. QRPARCI is not responsible for lost or damaged cards. Photocopies of both sides are acceptable.

Endorsement stickers are no longer available. When you request an endorsement, a new certificate will be issued with the updated info on it. Endorsements are available for just about anything providing you can prove the claim. Natural Power endorsements must be claimed using a power source other than Household Electricity, Motor Driven Generators or Batteries.

Note on multiple band awards. The 5 Band WAS, DXCC and WAC Awards can be for any 5 of the HF amateur bands including 30, 17, and 12 meters. Please note that if you include 30 Meters as one of your 5 bands and you are claiming one mode (CW or Data) as an endorsement, the other 4 bands must also be all CW or Data. Please remember that no SSB/FM operations are permitted on 30 meters.
