Koch Method CW Trainer - v9 released
Koch Method CW Trainer screenshotRay Goff G4FON (QRP ARCI member #11153) has announced the release of version 9 of his famous Koch Method CW Trainer software. This program is generally acknowledged as the best for morse code tuition. It uses the principle that the student will learn a few letters at a fast speed. When those letters are mastered then 2 more characters may be added. For those that know the code it is just plain good fun to play with.

Just learn 2 letters a day and you have the alphabet done in less than 2 weeks
More details may be found at the G4FON website.

It was a truly international event with hams spotted from Denmark, Spain, France, Canada, USA, Sweden, Australia, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.

A raffle seems to be mandatory at all QRP gatherings and Rochdale is no exception. George Dobbs G3RJV is seen here making the draw for the winner of a 1 year subscription to our own QRP Quarterly magazine. This was just one of many prizes.

New BoD Members - W5JAY and VE3JC
The new members of the Board of Directors took their 'seats' on the 1st April. It was no joke that we have two superb new members who will enhance the already existing members.

Together with Hank K8DD who was re-elected, their period of office is for four years and runs until 31st March 2010. The other three members of the BOD, Bill N8ET, Ed W1RFI and Mike KO4WX all end their terms on 31st March 2008.

The position of President will also be up for election by the BOD early in 2007 when my own term of office comes to an end.
