Lothar ... There is a cover for the connectors available, but it can be a problem if you want to use the clips to hold them together. I often just use a few

... of my equipment ... I install two power poles on the end of the cable on lot of my equipment. That way when I plug it in I always have a spare PP to plug

I have built both amps from Virgil... I still have and use the smaller, 35W, model HF Packer Amp with my FT-87ND and occasionally use it with the Elecraft
